why do you do this to me, Jenny Lewis?

Jenny,
Ok, let's just talk about this. You know, at first, I just really liked your band, associated with the lyrics, thought you had a lovely voice and so on. Then, your awesome style happened, or at least, I became aware of it. And then, your departure into a pseudo-country solo album a la my other girl Patsy happened. Geez! I thought I couldn't love you more than that.

If things weren't weird enough, you're about to be my sister-in-law! No wait.. that's not right. My sister? Ok, ok, so you're not, but my sister JENNE is about to marry a Mr. Lewis, making her Ms. Jenne Lewis.

Alright. Strange, but you know.. just coincidences.

Then I saw the caption on the cover of SPIN magazine this month, the one you happen to be gracing.

RILO KILEY: THE NEXT FLEETWOOD MAC?

I don't mean to step on any toes here, but I have been poised and planning to be the next Fleetwood Mac (yes, me, on my own) and this… geez.

You're my hero Jenny Lewis.

day trippin'

my vacation has long since come and gone but this is what it looked liked:

natural history museum

I had been really looking forward to the Mythic Creatures exhibit, but apparently it's something you have to buy tickets for, and when we got there at 2.30 the next "show" was at 4.30. Alas, I do have a birthday looming (sept 15, I will be 22) and am planning on doing a little birthday-partay there. I did stop by the Mythic Creatures Gift Shop (yes, it's specific...) and pick up some sparkly Unicorn tattoos...

that specific tattoo was promptly washed away in the ocean, but not by this beach day:

(this is the Rockaways in Queens)

Sea-gull.

this pigeon seagull got fresh. :)

please excuse my use of emoticons... after comunicating mainly through email all day my overzealous facial muscles get jealous of my fingers and alas... now I understand...

If you've noticed, I haven't posted anything I've created in quite some time. This is because I currently moderating the Adorn blog, so check that out, cause I will probably be posting there more often... it is my job and all :)
