vacation adventures: Roma!

The theory goes that if you throw a coin into the Trevi fountain, you will one day return to Rome. It took me seven years and my mom forty-four, but we both eventually made it back.

Italian Greyhounds at the Vatican Museum. Fun fact: Italian Greyhounds are not actually from Italy. They have roots as far back as Egypt.

The familia spent a couple days in Rome, touring around to classic sites like the colosseum, the Vatican & The Sistine Chapel, the forum (a funny thing happened on the way to?), the capital, and the Pantheon. We put our hands inside the Mouth of Truth, had several unnerving cab rides, drank plenty wine and espresso and ate gnocchetti (mini gnocchi! how cute!). I said "scusi" and "grazie" more times that I could count, and threw a couple coins into the Trevi fountain. Just for good measure.
