Vintage Letterpress Wedding Invitations

I wanted to share these lovely wedding invitations, not only because they are so beautiful, but because they are from the wedding I was recently in! Heather's friend Kenny of Giant Squid Press was able to make these custom letterpress invites.

The front of the invitation shows a vintage pig illustration with butcher cuts. Instead of traditional butcher cut names, they subsituted words that represented different aspects of their relationships - respect, love, honesty, friendship, compassion, attraction. Over the pig is a banner that reads "Heather and James", held in place by two sweet birds - straight of Cinderella, no?

Unfold the invitation to find the rest of the letterpressed work. Their friend used original vintage blocks to create Heather and James' names - which I love, because of the little quirks the age of the blocks brings. On the third flap is a map to Heather's parents house, where they were married only three weeks ago.

My congrats again, to the lovely Heather and James, who just returned from their honeymoon with enormous smiles, an entire suitcase full of Italian wines and as a newly married couple. <3

Aww, Kristen! I loved seeing this post about our invitations when I got to work today! Our friend Kenny that printed them for us is so talented. His company, Giant Squid Press (www.giantsquidletterpress.com), does really amazing work. I couldn't be happier with the way they turned out!!!
