This is a great DIY project to make with those leftover Halloween mini pumpkins! Plus, it's as easy as carving the lid off a pumpkin. See below for a quick tutorial.

Materials: Sharpie or pen, votive, knives (a steak knife worked great for me!)

Step One: Trace a circle around the votive onto your pumpkin

Step Two: Carve the top of your pumpkin - just like you would when you're making a jack o'lantern. Since this pumpkin is so small, be careful not to carve all the way through!

step three: scoop all those mini seeds out of the inside

Step Three: Now, if you just sit the votive in the pumpkin, it would be too short and melt the edges! So, take the lid (cut off the excess seeds off the bottom) and turn it upside down in your hollow pumpkin.

Step Four: Set your votive inside, et voila!

I think these would look really cute with those small striped pumpkins. Add a couple around the Thanksgiving table and boom - instant Autumn decoration!
